Pakistan, Sept. 30 -- Matthew Perry's family is sharing a closer look at the actor's life and his long fight with addiction in a new documentary.

The trailer for The One About Matthew Perry shows a side of the Friends star that many people did not see. It looks at his early dreams, his huge success and the problems he faced after becoming famous.

Perry wanted to make people laugh and become a famous actor. But when he finally reached that dream, he found that fame could not make him feel better inside.

"I was extremely happy when I got famous," Perry says in the documentary. "Then I was like, 'Uh-oh, this didn't fix what's inside me. This didn't do what I thought it was gonna do.'"
