Pakistan, Sept. 17 -- Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has rejected claims that Punjab took resources from other provinces. She said Punjab instead shared resources from its own allocation with other provinces. Maryam made the remarks while inaugurating an electric bus service in Multan. She also defended her use of the provincial government aircraft during her London visit.

Maryam said critics were targeting Punjab's development rather than her personally. She said the aircraft belongs to the Punjab chief minister's office. She added that she paid nearly Rs27 crore from her own pocket for its use. The chief minister also said she visited flood victims during emergencies.
