Pakistan, Aug. 5 -- Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan's support for the people of Kashmir on Youm-e-Istehsal, saying the events of August 5, 2019, would never be accepted. She described the developments as an attack on the identity, rights and future of Kashmiris and reiterated Pakistan's continued solidarity with their cause.

In her message, Maryam Nawaz paid tribute to those who lost their lives in the struggle and praised their families for their patience and resilience. She said the people of Pakistan stand shoulder to shoulder with their Kashmiri brothers and sisters and will continue extending political, diplomatic and moral support for their right to self-determination.
