Pakistan, Oct. 9 -- Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has approved Parks and Horticulture Authorities (PHAs) in every district, along with recruitment for 2,820 technical posts. The initiative aims to expand green spaces, restore parks and improve urban landscapes across the province.

Officials informed a meeting chaired by Maryam that PHAs already operate in 10 districts, while authorities have been established in another 11. The government has set January 2027 as the deadline to establish PHAs in 20 more districts. In the next phase, authorities will also expand to every tehsil in Punjab.
