Pakistan, June 8 -- Pakistani actress Mahira Khan has strongly condemned the acid attack on a female doctor at a hospital in Quetta, calling the incident 'barbaric' and expressing deep shock over the incident.

In a message shared on her Instagram story, the actor said a woman who went to the hospital to save lives was instead targeted in a brutal attack, adding that she was unable to comprehend such violence.

Mahira Khan referred to the victim, Dr. Mah Noor Nasir, and said the attack was so severe that it left her deeply disturbed. She described the act as inhumane, stating that the victim was 'almost burned alive' in an act of extreme cruelty.
