Floods have caused serious damage to the M-5 Motorway near Jalalpur Pirwala. A second section of the road has collapsed due to heavy water flow. According to the Chief Police Officer (CPO) of Multan, the eastern part of the motorway was swept away after a breach. Earlier, the western part of the same section was also destroyed by floods. Emergency teams from the National Highway Authority (NHA) and motorway police are on site with machinery.
The situation remains critical as river water continues to flow rapidly. The Sutlej River's strong currents are heading towards the Chenab River, worsening the damage. To slow the water flow, workers are placing stones in the breached area. Howeve...
