Pakistan, June 1 -- Consumers across Pakistan will face higher cooking fuel costs this month after the country's oil and gas regulator approved an increase in liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) prices for June.

According to a notification issued by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority, the price of LPG has been increased by Rs4.95 per kilogram, resulting in a rise in the cost of domestic cylinders used by households nationwide.

Under the revised rates, the price of LPG has been fixed at Rs308.76 per kilogram. As a result, the cost of a standard 11.8-kilogram domestic cylinder has increased by Rs58.51, taking its new price to Rs3,643.41.
