Pakistan, April 8 -- The Lahore High Court on Tuesday granted bail to Canadian national and Pakistani PhD scholar Hamza Ahmad Khan in a cybercrime case. Justice Waheed Khan approved his release against Rs 200,000 surety bonds. During the hearing, Advocate Asad Jamal, representing the petitioner, told the court that the National Cyber Crime Investigation had registered the case and taken Hamza into custody. The defence argued that he was entitled to bail and requested his release pending further proceedings. The court accepted the plea and directed Hamza to submit surety bonds in accordance with its order.
