Pakistan, Sept. 17 -- The Lahore High Court on Thursday dismissed national cricketer Mohammad Rizwan's petition against proceedings by the National Cyber Crime Investigation . Chief Justice Aalia Neelum directed the former Pakistan captain to appear before the and answer its questions. The court said Rizwan should respond to the notices instead of seeking court intervention.

Rizwan filed the petition through his counsel, Qazi Umair Ali. During the hearing, the chief justice expressed displeasure after the lawyer arrived without the case file. She called the conduct highly inappropriate. The counsel told the court that the NCCIA notices concerned allegations linked to betting and online gambling.
