Pakistan, Oct. 7 -- LAHORE - The Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) has announced plans to purchase 150,000 new single and three-phase smart meters to improve efficiency and enhance monitoring of electricity consumption across its network. The large-scale procurement will cost billions of rupees and marks a major step toward modernizing the company's power infrastructure.

According to details, LESCO has begun the process of acquiring various types of advanced meters, including single-phase smart meters, three-phase meters, AMI bidirectional meters, and AMI smart meters. These devices are designed to provide real-time data, help reduce electricity theft, and ensure more accurate billing for consumers.
