Pakistan, Aug. 1 -- The Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) has achieved savings of more than Rs58 billion over the past two years by significantly reducing distribution losses and improving bill recovery, marking one of the biggest operational improvements in Pakistan's power sector.

According to official figures, LESCO reduced its financial gap linked to regulatory targets from Rs79 billion to around Rs21 billion, resulting in cumulative savings of over Rs58 billion for the national exchequer.
