Pakistan, Oct. 10 -- Sindh Minister for Home and Law Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar chaired a meeting on Friday to review the implementation of the Lawyers' Welfare and Protection Act, 2023, and address concerns raised by the legal community.

The meeting agreed to continue consultations between the government and lawyers' representatives on implementing the law. Mr Lanjar said he was a lawyer himself and understood the issues faced by the legal fraternity. He said consultations would continue to address lawyers' welfare, protection and rights.

A follow-up meeting will be held at the office of the Advocate General Sindh, where proposals for implementing the act will be presented.
