Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) will begin sending waste collection bills to city residents starting next week. According to an LWMC spokesperson, the billing process will begin in upscale residential areas and commercial markets. Charges will be applied based on the number of marla (unit of area), and the rollout will be phased across all nine town zones in Lahore.

The company stated that bills are currently being printed and will be delivered through revenue and operational field supervisors. Citizens will be able to pay through banks or digital payment apps. The sanitation fee was officially approved by the Punjab Cabinet earlier this month.
