Pakistan, Aug. 17 -- US envoy Jared Kushner will meet Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday after rare talks with Hamas officials. The meetings aim to advance President Donald Trump's Gaza peace plan.

A diplomatic source said Hamas leader Khalil Al-Hayya attended some meetings with Kushner and Gaza envoy Nickolay Mladenov. The talks took place in Cairo on Sunday.

The meeting marks Kushner's second known engagement with Hamas representatives. He previously met Hamas officials with US envoy Steve Witkoff in October 2025.
