Pakistan, Oct. 12 -- Pakistan Kissan Ittehad (PKI) President Khalid Mehmood Khokhar on Sunday urged the government to announce the wheat support price immediately so that farmers could plan their next crops properly. According to a spokesperson, addressing a press conference here, he said that growers were facing tough conditions and needed an early policy decision on wheat. He added that farmers worked all 365 days of the year and played a key role in the country's economy, yet wheat growers were not getting proper returns for their hard work and high cost of production.
