Pakistan, Sept. 13 -- Karachi Mayor Barrister Murtaza Wahab has taken a major step towards addressing water shortages in key areas of the city, with the Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation (KW&SC) and Frontier Works Organization (FWO) signing an agreement for the construction of the Dumlottee Pipeline Project.

The Rs 14 billion project will provide an additional 10 million gallons of water daily from Dumlottee to Defence and Clifton, significantly strengthening water supply infrastructure in these key areas. Construction is scheduled to begin next week, with the project targeted for completion within 12 months.
