Pakistan, Aug. 23 -- Karachi traffic accidents have claimed 603 lives this year, according to figures released by rescue authorities. The fatalities include 463 men, 73 women and 67 children, highlighting the continuing danger on the city's roads.

Rescue officials also reported 7,467 injuries from various traffic accidents during the year. Among those injured were 5,649 men, 1,322 women and 496 children, showing that road crashes continue to affect thousands of residents.
