Pakistan, July 7 -- In a major step toward regulating burial services, the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) has fixed the price of a grave at Rs14,300 and ordered the registration of all cemeteries in the city. The move aims to bring transparency and prevent overcharging in burial fees.
Mayor Murtaza Wahab revealed that only 38 out of more than 200 cemeteries in Karachi are officially registered with KMC. He directed all cemetery in-charges to immediately begin the registration process to ensure proper oversight and accountability.
