Pakistan, June 30 -- Pakistan faced another challenge in its ongoing fight against terrorism when militants launched a coordinated attack on a Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) camp in Karachi's Gulistan-i-Jauhar area on June 27. The assault claimed the lives of three brave Rangers personnel, left several others injured, and once again highlighted the sacrifices made by Pakistan's security forces in protecting the nation from extremist violence.

According to official reports, the attackers initiated the assault by detonating explosives near the entrance of the Rangers facility before opening heavy gunfire.
