Pakistan, Sept. 13 -- Parts of Karachi may face a water shortage after a power outage disrupted pumping operations at the Dhabeji pumping station. The electricity breakdown affected several sections of the facility on Sunday morning. The Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation warned that water supply to some areas could be affected.

According to the KWSC, electricity supply to multiple sections of the pumping facility was suspended at around 6am. K-Electric attributed the outage to a fault in its cable system. The disruption affected the third and fourth phases of the pumping station as well as the K-III pump house.
