Pakistan, July 21 -- The Judicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP) has approved the appointment of 10 additional judges to the Lahore High Court (LHC) following a meeting chaired by Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Yahya Afridi.

According to sources, the Judicial Commission considered a total of 24 candidates for appointment as additional judges during the meeting. After detailed deliberations, the commission approved 10 nominees for elevation to the Lahore High Court.

The approved candidates include Usman Ghani, Rashid Cheema, Farhad Ali Shah, Munawar Dogal, Amjad Pervez, Asad Bajwa, Khalid Bin Aziz, Shireen Imran, Ghulam Sarwar, Ameer Ajam Malik and Ajmal Khan.
