Pakistan, Aug. 6 -- Jared Leto reportedly missed out on a major movie role as new sexual misconduct allegations continue to get massive around the Oscar winning actor.

Reports claim that the 54-year-old star was in talks to join the political thriller Assassination, but the plans are no longer moving forward now. According to unnamed industry sources, Leto was discussing the project for months and was believed to be very close to joining the cast.

Reports, however, say that the decision changed after more women came forward with allegations against him.

Sources also claimed the people behind the film already knew about earlier claims but new allegations reportedly made them take another look at the casting.
