Pakistan, May 27 -- Tatsuya Imai, in only his sixth Major League Baseball game since arriving from Japan, joined two relief pitchers to throw a no-hitter in Houston's 9-0 victory at Texas on Monday. The 28-year-old Japanese right-hander, who spent the past eight years with the Saitama Seibu Lions, struck out two batters and walked four in six hitless shutout innings for the Astros.
American left-handed reliever Steven Okert blanked the Rangers in the seventh inning and Alimber Santa, a Dominican right-hander making his MLB debut, tossed the final two hitless innings to complete the first no-hitter of the MLB campaign.
