ISLAMABAD, June 15 -- Japan has praised Pakistan's sustained diplomatic engagement and mediatory efforts in the US-Iran peace process, acknowledging its contribution to the breakthrough agreement aimed at ending months of conflict.

The appreciation came during a telephone conversation between Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi, according to official sources.
