Pakistan, July 21 -- DC Studios boss and Superman director James Gunn has admitted he feels regret over how actor Henry Cavill's exit from the franchise was handled. He shared that miscommunication inside the studio created confusion during a major transition period just before he officially took charge with producer Peter Safran.
Speaking on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Gunn said he was surprised when news broke that Cavill would return as Superman. Gunn clarified that the actual plan was to start fresh with a new actor, which made the situation "really unfair" for Cavill.
