Karachi, Sept. 2 -- Jamaat-e-Islami chief Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has announced a nationwide strike for tomorrow. He made the announcement while highlighting several issues affecting ordinary citizens across Pakistan. Hafiz Naeem said the party's movement would continue until public concerns receive attention.

Hafiz Naeem accused the government and oil companies of creating a burden for consumers. He said ordinary people continue to face taxes and rising costs. He also criticised the government over tax policies related to the sugar industry. According to him, the government has failed to provide relief to poorer sections.
