Pakistan, May 12 -- Israeli strikes on southern Lebanon killed six people and wounded seven others on Monday night, according to Lebanese state media. The attacks hit a residential house in Kfar Dounine, a town located about 95 kilometres from Beirut. The escalation comes despite an ongoing ceasefire agreement between Israel and Lebanon.

Lebanon's National News (NNA) reported that the wounded were taken to hospitals in the coastal city of Tyre. The strikes are part of continued clashes between Israel and Hezbollah, which have persisted despite a ceasefire signed on April 17. Israel has intensified military operations in southern Lebanon in recent weeks.
