Pakistan, July 16 -- At least five Palestinians were killed in Israeli strikes across the Gaza Strip on Thursday, according to Palestinian health officials. The attacks targeted multiple locations, including Gaza City and Khan Younis. The latest violence adds to concerns over escalating hostilities despite an October ceasefire.

Medics said Israeli airstrikes killed two people near the Tuffah neighbourhood and another in Gaza City's Zeitoun suburb. A separate strike on a tent encampment for displaced people in western Gaza City killed one person and injured several others. Another attack on a vehicle in Khan Younis reportedly claimed one more life.
