Pakistan, July 21 -- An Israeli airstrike killed a family of six in Gaza City on Tuesday, according to Palestinian health officials. The Israeli military confirmed the strike and said it was targeting a Hamas operative while reviewing the outcome.

Medics said the strike hit a home in Gaza City's Sabra neighbourhood, setting it on fire. They identified the victims as Firas Al-Masri, his wife Salsabeel, and their four children.

The Israeli military said the intended target was a Hamas member and added that it was examining the results of the operation. No further official details were immediately released.
