Pakistan, July 7 -- Israel and Lebanon will hold a new round of U.S.-mediated talks in Rome later this month, Italy's Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani announced on Tuesday. The negotiations aim to build on recent efforts to ease tensions between the two neighbouring countries. The meeting marks another step toward sustaining a fragile ceasefire.

In a post on X, Tajani welcomed the decision to host the talks in Rome. He said Italy had conveyed its willingness to support dialogue for peace between Israel and Lebanon. According to reports, the discussions are scheduled for July 15 and 16 and will take place at the ambassadorial level.
