Pakistan, June 27 -- Ireland registered their first-ever men's international victory over India with a memorable 34-run win in the opening T20 International at Stormont, ending the reigning world champions' unbeaten run since lifting the T20 World Cup earlier this year.

After being put under early pressure, Ireland recovered from 51-4 to post a competitive total of 182-9 in their allotted 20 overs. Captain Lorcan Tucker anchored the innings with a composed 50, while Gareth Delany added a valuable 49 to help the hosts rebuild and set India a challenging target.

India's chase began aggressively as Abhishek Sharma blasted a 19-ball half-century, striking seven fours and two sixes to put the visitors in control during the powerplay. However...
