Pakistan, Sept. 25 -- Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has firmly rejected claims that Iran wants to develop a nuclear bomb. During an interview with US media, Pezeshkian was asked directly whether Iran wanted nuclear weapons. He answered in three words: "Absolutely, absolutely not." The Iranian president also repeated Tehran's position on its nuclear programme. He said Iran remains willing to open the programme to international inspections. Therefore, Pezeshkian presented Iran's nuclear activities as peaceful rather than military. His comments came amid continuing tensions between Iran and the United States.
