Pakistan, June 27 -- Iran launched a drone attack targeting Bahrain while a commercial vessel was struck in the Strait of Hormuz following US airstrikes on Iranian military sites. The incidents marked a sharp escalation in Gulf tensions despite an interim ceasefire agreement. Regional security concerns have intensified as both sides exchange military actions.

Bahrain's Foreign Ministry said several Iranian drones targeted the kingdom, describing the attack as a serious threat to public safety. The Gulf state, which hosts the US Navy's Fifth Fleet, strongly condemned the assault. Earlier, Iran's Revolutionary Guard claimed it had targeted several locations linked to US forces in the region without identifying them.
