Pakistan, July 13 -- The United States and Iran exchanged another wave of missile, drone and air strikes across the Gulf, further intensifying regional tensions and raising concerns about wider instability. Iran claimed it targeted several US-linked military facilities in Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan, while once again declaring the Strait of Hormuz closed following the collapse of indirect negotiations in Oman.

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said the latest operation was launched in response to fresh US strikes on Iranian military sites.
