Pakistan, Sept. 7 -- Iran has warned South Korea against military involvement in the Strait of Hormuz. Tehran said such participation could lead to "serious consequences." Seoul is currently reviewing possible contributions to efforts supporting freedom of navigation there.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei delivered the warning through a Korean-language post on X. He highlighted the long-standing relationship between Iran and South Korea. Baqaei said Tehran values its relations with Seoul and mutual respect.
