Pakistan, July 1 -- Iran's acting Defense Minister, Brigadier General Seyed Majid Ibn Reza, said Tehran does not trust its adversaries and will respond if the ceasefire is violated. He warned that Iran remains fully prepared to take what he described as necessary action in response to any breach.
According to Iranian state media, the remarks came during a telephone conversation with Qatar's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs, Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al Thani. The Iranian official thanked Qatar for its role in efforts to help secure the ceasefire.
