Pakistan, July 21 -- Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said the Strait of Hormuz would remain closed as regional tensions with the United States continue. The statement raised concerns over maritime security and global energy routes.

According to Iranian state media, the IRGC said two tankers caught fire after explosions while attempting to pass through what it described as an unsafe route south of the Strait of Hormuz.
