His remarks came amid rising tensions with Israel following recent military exchanges. The statement signals Iran's intention to maintain negotiations while remaining prepared for further confrontation.

In a message posted on X, Pezeshkian said Iran's foremost priority was protecting national security and preserving peace for its citizens. He stressed that the country would defend its rights and interests against any threat. The president added that Iran would not retreat under pressure or intimidation.
