Pakistan, June 25 -- Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has clarified that Iran's ballistic missile programme was not included in the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between Iran and the United States to help end tensions in the Middle East.

Speaking alongside Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian in Islamabad, the prime minister said there should be no double standards regarding ballistic missiles. He stated that if other countries are allowed to possess such weapons for defence, Iran should not be treated differently.

Shehbaz Sharif emphasized that ballistic missiles were never part of the negotiations between Tehran and Washington and therefore were not mentioned in the Islamabad MoU. He warned against attempts to misrepr...
