Pakistan, Aug. 22 -- Iran has urged Qatar to move detained Iranian pilots to a hospital onshore, citing concerns over their health. Tehran also requested humanitarian assistance.

Mohammad Baqerzadeh, an Iranian military official, said the pilots were being held offshore. He said their current location was unsuitable for their medical condition.

Baqerzadeh heads the Committee for the Search of Missing Persons under Iran's Armed Forces General Staff. He urged the International Committee of the Red Cross to arrange an air ambulance.

He said the measure could accelerate the return of injured and unwell detainees to Iran. The official also welcomed Qatar's decision to receive Iranian experts.
