Pakistan, July 27 -- Iran's foreign ministry said it is not currently negotiating with the United States. The statement followed recent reports suggesting Tehran had requested talks with Washington. The clarification affects ongoing diplomatic efforts after recent military tensions.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei made the remarks during a weekly press briefing. According to Baqaei, Iran is not engaged in any negotiations with the United States. He also denied reports claiming Tehran had sought new diplomatic discussions.
