Pakistan, Aug. 17 -- Iran has announced a $30,000 reward for people who capture or kill US military personnel. The announcement was reportedly made by Iranian Army Chief Amir Hatami. He said the reward would be doubled if a woman carried out the action. The reported offer comes amid heightened tensions between Iran and the United States.

According to The News International, Hatami said the plan followed numerous requests from people. He said anyone who captures or kills an American soldier and hands them to Iranian authorities would receive the reward. The amount was set at $30,000.
