Pakistan, Sept. 27 -- Iran has kept diplomacy open while maintaining its conditions for ending the conflict with the United States and Israel. Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said only a negotiated solution could resolve the current deadlock. He added that reopening the Strait of Hormuz depended on Iran's conditions being met.
Iran presented its peace proposal during the United Nations General Assembly in New York. Tehran said it sent the proposal to Washington through Qatari mediators. However, US President Donald Trump said he had rejected the plan and demanded changes to Iran's position.
Despite Trump's statement, Araghchi said mediators had not officially communicated a US rejection to Tehran. He said Iran was waiting for Washington...
