Pakistan, June 26 -- Iran has accused the United States of making the Gulf region less secure through its military presence. Tehran also rejected a joint statement issued by the United States and the Gulf Cooperation Council. The remarks reflect continuing tensions over regional security and maritime stability.
In a statement, Iran's Foreign Ministry described the joint US-GCC declaration as interventionist, irresponsible, and provocative. The ministry said the statement ignored regional realities and undermined efforts to promote peace. It also criticized Washington's security policies in the Gulf.
