Pakistan, April 9 -- Top diplomats from Iran and Saudi Arabia have held their first official conversation since the recent escalation of regional conflict, signalling a potential step toward de-escalation.

According to the Saudi foreign ministry, Prince Faisal bin Farhan received a phone call from his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi on Thursday.
