Pakistan, Oct. 1 -- Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has linked Pakistan's recent inflation increase to the Iran-US war. He said inflation had previously been brought down to single-digit levels.
Addressing an event in Karachi, Aurangzeb said economic indicators were showing positive trends. He also highlighted recent developments involving the Federal Board of Revenue. According to him, the FBR achieved its September and first-quarter revenue targets.
The finance minister said Pakistan's economic direction was moving toward sustainable stability. He also expressed confidence that the country's credit rating could reach B-plus by year-end. He added that work would continue on the new economy, artificial intelligence and Web3.
