Pakistan, Nov. 15 -- A 48-year-old Indian Sikh woman, visiting Pakistan as part of a religious pilgrimage to celebrate Guru Nanak's birth anniversary, has converted to Islam and married a Pakistani man, officials confirmed.

The woman, Sarbjit Kaur, adopted the name Noor after marrying 49-year-old Nasir Hussain from Farooqabad, Sheikhupura. The marriage took place on November 5, with a dowry of 10,000 Pakistani rupees, which has already been settled.

Sarbjit Kaur had arrived in Pakistan with a group of Sikh pilgrims on November 4. However, she went missing when the group was scheduled to return to India on November 13, coinciding with the expiration of her visa. Authorities initially launched a search for her as a missing person.
