Pakistan, July 23 -- Student protests in India expanded on Thursday as Gen Z demonstrators demanded accountability over alleged exam irregularities and education reforms. The movement has become one of the biggest challenges facing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government since his 2024 re-election.

The protests began after allegations of medical entrance exam paper leaks affected millions of candidates. Demonstrators gathered in New Delhi and called for action against officials they blame for failures in the examination system. The protesters said their concerns extend beyond education issues.
