Pakistan, July 27 -- India's youth-led Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has called on authorities to immediately release protesters reportedly detained during nationwide demonstrations over examination paper leaks and education reforms.

In a statement issued on Monday, the movement said it had received reports that student protesters were being held in detention, particularly in the states of Assam, West Bengal and Bihar. The group warned that failing to release those detained or withdraw criminal cases against demonstrators would undermine public trust.
