Pakistan, June 17 -- India has temporarily blocked access to Telegram ahead of a nationwide medical entrance exam retest. Authorities say the move aims to prevent cheating and protect the integrity of the examination process. The restrictions affect millions of students preparing for the highly competitive NEET examination.
The Ministry of Electronics ordered the suspension after allegations that exam papers were leaked through Telegram channels. Access to the messaging platform will remain restricted until June 22, the day of the retest. Authorities have also limited Telegram's message-editing feature until June 30.
